Last year during a working trip in Vancouver I was commissioned by Greenpeace to document some of their demonstrations and capture images of their activists on the frontline.
This series of images were self directed, shot and edited recently as a prototype campaign for a new client. The 20 minute portrait photo shoot in Hyde Park, London gave me the creative freedom to experiment with a new prop – a cheap paper lampshade, which doubled up as a useful diffused lightsource and ‘portable moon’.
The wedding of David and Sian Smith was only the second marriage I have photographed. Dave is a close friend of mine and we know each other from the crazy days back in Derby when I was a photography student. I was very honoured and privileged to have been ask to cover their big day, and what a great day it was too.
